DJ Kitt Katt, a true of Legendary forefather of the West Coast Hip Hop scene. Growing up as a resident of the West Los Angeles vicinity, He got into the music game in early 80s after winning a DJing contest at The Cage (the biggest club in the Inglewood-Hawthorne area). At the time the resident club DJ was The Arabian Prince. Shortly after Katt was invited to join Arabian’s mobile DJ crew Ultimate Sounds. Through Arabian he eventually landed a role with Uncle Jamm's Army where he became a member of California Catt Crew. California Catt Crew members BobCatt, BattleCatt and Kitt Katt. were some of the most infuencial Djs of the 80s west coast hip hop scence. They created some of the most inconic scratch sounds that are still heard today. Shortly after Kitt Katt joined L.A. Posse record label. Founded by Mixmaster Spade's Kitt Katt developed scratch patterns for several of the 80s Hip Hop classic such as Genius is back and "Sexy Lady". Through out the 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s Kitt Katt has been an influences part of foundation of the West Coast hip Hop . Still an active member of Uncle jamms ARMY, Cali catt crew and the Owner of.
